Time off work is rare in the Anderson house. I (kendra) work three jobs, Starbucks always has some project for Ian to be working on, above and beyond the regular Assistant Manager duties, so coordinating time off is a special task, but we were able to get a whole entire week off, of everything! hooray!
So, with no real plans, we loaded up the jeep with camping stuff, bought the Fromers guide to Oregon, and hit the road. We decided to spend a week, and explore the state!
(Here i am with all our stuff!)

(Here i am with all our stuff!)
Our first stop? The beautiful Oregon Coast! We sat on the beach one night and watched the sun set, we went to the wax museum, saw some wales, and sea lions, went to Devils Punch Bowl, and ate at the cutest little Mo's!

(this is me in front of the cute little Mo's)

(Look caaarefully, you can see a wale!!)
The Sea Lions were funny!

After some fun filled time at the coast, we drove South through North Bend, over through Roseburg to Hwy 138 and found a sweet little camping spot right on the North Umqua River!

This is a sweet waterfall we saw!
Oh-my-gosh i love this picture of my sweet hiking husband! isn't he wonderful??
Any-hoo, the Highway spit us out at the wonderful, beautiful, breathtaking Crater Lake!

Where we spent the better 1/2 of two days, funny thing is, Ian and i both grew up in Oregon, and neither of us had been to Crater Lake! So we explored it together for the first time.
There is only one place on the whole lake where you can go to the water, and it is quite the hike to get down there! (well, actually the though part is getting back up!) But we made the trek, and it was so beautiful!

Here we are, standing the deepest lake in the US! (the 7th deepest in the world!)
You really can't take enough pictures of this beautiful lake! The water is so clear, and blue, and its just amazing!
Happy Hikers!

Here we are drinking some coffee as the sun rises at Crater Lake.
So, basically our trip was really awesome. We started it out camping on the Ocean, spent a night camping on the river, and ended up camping at arguably the most beautiful lake, ever. Our hikes included hot springs & water falls. Really can you think of a better place to road trip?
Oh, here i am with the map, planning out the day!
And we will leave you with some random road-trippy pictures....Liiiike, cooking lunch

September 8th the crazy-ness we call fall - which quickly becomes winter, which is even crazy-er! Ian started working at a new store this week, which is sure to bring lots of new experiences, swimmings starts, i'm still doing the whole retail Columbia Sportswear thaaang. It's busy, its fun, but at the end of the day, we're thankful we get time off to play in the great state of Oregon!

Highway 138 follows the river so there are tons of little hikes to do, and thanks to Fromers, we knew the best ones to stop off at!
These are moments i treasure.
