Our First Christmas

We made the trek over the mountain for the Holiday, and it was really fun! We were able to see our great friends the Stitt's. You might recognize the silly little boys from our wedding, they were the ring bears. We drove to the beach to visit with them for a few hours, and the boys are not camera shy!

We were part of two gift exchanges, one with the Anderson side of the family, and we like to say we kinda got the shaft! We ended up with HAND SOAP, and Luke and Jess (our bro & sis in law) made out like bandits! We're taking lessons, and next year we will dominate that Anderson gift exchange. Muuuwahahahahha!

Though we are proud to say we did well at the Poindexter gift exchange, we walked away with a remote control helicopter (that Ian loves playing with) and dinner and a movie, not a bad date night! These gift exchanges are so stinking funny. We walked away and both agreed we hadn't laughed that hard in a while. Its so much more interactive, and exciting, than the regular "i bought seventeen matching pencils one for each of you" we love being able to sit around with our family and chat and laugh, and still get a cool present!

We took our cousin picture by the fireplace (as we always do) , but this year wearing our matching AI sweatshirts! My grandma is so funny and gets us matching shirts every year, this year they were worthy enough to have the picture taken in! AI for those of you who might not know is Anderson Island - the Island the family has a little cabin on.

The drive back to Bend over the pass was like driving in a snow globe!! But we were in the four wheel drive studded jeep with a very safe driver (my wonderful husband) and made it safe and sound in about three hours, not bad.

Christmas 2007 was fantastic, we love our funny little families!
