Mt. Bachelor

The mountain is open! Mt. Bachelor opened on Thanksgiving day, and Ian and I are taking full advantage of playing in the snow. I am just learning how to snowboard, and Ian has been a fantastic teacher. I do believe i married the most patient man in the world. And because of his fantastic teaching skills I'm really picking it up! We are having so much fun together, and we're able to have quite a few laughs at my boarding skills.

We're getting more and more snow, which means more lifts are opening! And i'm getting better which means we don't have to spend all our time on the bunny hill! woooohooo!!

High School swimming is in full swing! And i must say its going really well. The kids are eager to learn, and are passionate about the sport, and really they just want to swim fast! Its nice to coach motivated kids. We had our first meet in good o'll Pendleton last weekend. I spent lots of hours on a big yellow school bus with thirty kids, which means lots of laughing. I would never tell them this: but they are funny! The kids dropped so much time from last season, and at our first meet! That means they are only going to get faster.

This next weekend we are on our way to North Bend for another HS swim meet, and Ian is our chaperon! We will let you know how it goes :)

We're enjoying winter in Bend!
