Livin' the Dream

Ian and I have been really busy lately.


And we're not stressed-out busy, just there is constantly something going on, every night of the week we have plans, there is work, and High School swimming starts in like three weeks, and we've just been going through the motions of life. But last night we were able to pause for one second and realized we doing EXACTLY what we have always wanted. And we're so happy.

Let me expand on that.

First off: I love my job. I am absolutely 100 % in love with it. I love the kids i work with, the guys i coach with, the parents on the team. I enjoy watching the kids fall in love with swimming, and watching them improve, and swim fast. I love that i work for the Bend Swim Club.

Ian is really enjoying Starbucks. He's learning so many new things about being a manager and being a part of a successful, big company. (the good the bad and the ugly of it all!) And the great thing about Starbucks is that he's interacting with people all day long, people from our church, kids from young life, families from my swim team. Plus Starbucks enables him to do all the other fun things on this list of life. :) Thanks Starbucks!!

I love that Ian and i are leading Young Life. I've dreamed of doing youth ministry with my husband, and thats exactly what we're doing! He plays guitar every week, i act like a big dork in front of kids every week, we're starting Young Life at a school that needs jesus so bad its silly! It is so exciting to watch God work in that school, and in our own lives. And its so nice to be doing ministry with my husband. The team of people we're leading with are amazing! Besides having club every Monday night, we meet on Friday mornings for coffee and devotions, and hang out time. Its rad.

And have i mention we love our church? Its called Antioch, and its amazing! we're involved in this bible study called the Realm that meets once a week and Ian often times leads worship (its amazing by the way) I'm working with the children's ministry a few Sunday's a month, and we are involved in this awesome community of people that we fellowship with all week long. People that desire to live an authentic life, and are trying to figure out what it means to walk with Jesus everyday.

annnnd we have amazing friends! Its that simple. we're surrounded by people that we just enjoy doing life with. drinking coffee, playing games, riding bikes drinking beer(soooon, very soon we will be ..) snowboarding all together. Good quality, authentic, fun people.

Plus its Bend, which means we get to see beautiful mountains everyday! Who can argue with that?

Who knows where we will be in a year? two years? for the moment we are just right smack in the middle of where God wants us, and its an amazing, exciting feeling. I think too often we get bogged down with the mundane routine of life, but when we are able to pause, and take a look around, we feel pretty stinking happy.
