WHC!

So we spent last weekend at Wild Horse Canyon - the Young Life camp! We were there for a leaders weekend, and spent our time going to seminars about how to be a leader, and what Young Life is about, and we got to play, play, play! Kelly Allison and I (we are three of the four girl leaders at Summit) we got to play on this big swing, and on the zip line, and the high dive at the pool, it was so fun getting to know the girls more, and spending time with them. They are really awesome!

Its so refreshing to be part of a ministry (again!) about loving people. Young Life is really that simple. All about building relationships with kids, and loving them. We are really enjoying our selves, and God is working in big ways at Summit!

Sometimes i just stand in awe, God has a sense of Humor, let me tell you!! To think 3 years ago i was in the inner-city, SW Philly, on South Alden street, starting out my year of building relationships, and loving people, and now here i am in the west side of bend doing the exact same thing! what a drastic change, talk about a total opposite, completely different setting! You can't get more opposite than SW Philly and the West Side of Bend. But the intention is the same. To be loving people. People on the West Side of Bend need to be loved just as much as the people in SW Philly.

We'll keep you updated on Summit Young Life. We just officially got a place to start meeting, and God is just opening so many doors and presenting us with some fun, exciting (random!) opportunities!
